Céline has launched e-commerce

As one of our favourite brands ever, Céline has proven itself as the ultimate in luxury, elegance and simplicity — and soon, you’ll be able to get it online.

According to WWD, the French brand announced it would be opening a French e-commerce store today.

Owned by LVMH, Céline is the only brand under the business’s umbrella that isn’t available online, meaning fans of the Phoebe Philo-designed label currently have to venture to one of the stores across the world — meaning no shopping from your bed. Lucky for French customers, that will now all change.

WWD has reported we can expect the e-commerce business to roll out in France as of now, and to the United States and Europe in 2018. Japan will be next, coming in 2019.

Apparently, Céline will “test the water” with a range of clothing collections, shoes and bags, rather than the brand’s entire offering.

Céline opened Melbourne and Sydney stores within the last 12 months, the first in Australia, causing a stir last Christmas when it arrived just in time for the holidays — a Céline-mas, if you will.

When the brand does reach Australia, we’ve got no doubt this will mean bad, bad things for our bank balances, but will definitely chic-up our wardrobes.
